Week 16

Whew, it’s photo time! I did actually take these on time (yesterday), but had issues getting them formatted the way I prefer. Since my PS problem doesn’t seem to be fading anytime soon, I’ll post anyway.

I’m pleased with the slow weight gain since week 8. It *almost* (but not quite) makes up for the 11+ pounds I gained from mid-June until early July! WTF was that all about, anyway? For my other measurements, they’re simply staying in check, which is a start. Good, really, if you consider that I barely worked out in the last week.

15 Weeks

Well, after 3 days off with bronchitis, I decided cough or no cough, I HAD to work out. Did B/R TWO through balance, and called it good yesterday. Once I got to Airplanes, I just couldn’t keep going — I was so refluxy that it sounded horrible.

Today marks 15 weeks for my pregnancy (Is that it? Why is this dragging?), so it’s measurement time. The three days off from exercise took a toll on my measures, and the slowing of my digestive system (don’t think too hard about that) took a toll on my weight. Yes, folks, it’s official. I AM full of it. Anyway, here’s today’s report:

13 Weeks

I’ve been quite lazy this week. Something about being out of town, then having family in MY town, does that to me. Excuses, excuses…I know. Sum total, I got in ONE hike — and that was yesterday. Granted, I did carry Maya in the Ergo, and I could feel that (esp with the SATI style of walking) in my outer hips!

Anyhoo, my body seems just fine for the lack of movement — not that I want to do this every week. Measures to date:

Down .75 inches since 8 weeks? Not too shabby! On top of that, I can tell that the first trimester is coming to a close. My energy is returning, and I’m not “green” anywhere near as often. Hooray!

12 Weeks

This week, I got SITTM in one time, and that’s it for T-Tapp other than a bunch of stretching. I did also, though, enjoy (really!) two long hikes, one Friday at about 4-1/2 miles, another yesterday of 5-1/2 to 6 miles. My legs are showing some happy results from the trail time, although I’m unsure what’s up with my hips. That’s the one measurement that scares me, since it’s the one that can make/break my ability to wear my existing maternity clothing!

11 Weeks!

We’re getting to the end of the 1st trimester, and let me tell you, I will NOT miss the exhaustion. Not one bit. Between workouts and reasonable eating (made much easier to manage once I added Coconut Oil to my diet), I’m maintaining, and even toning up, albeit slowly. This is pretty darned impressive considering how a few weeks ago, I feared I’d gain about 2 pounds per week through pregnancy, and end up gaining even more than the 60 pounds I picked up with Maya!

Not too bad! Like I said, I’m holding my own still. Beats me what’s up with the thighs, but I’m not too concerned, as that’s the same measurement I had 8/8. Maybe I mis-measured on the 12th?

Photos coming next week, and (at least) every four weeks after that. See Allison shrink? Hardly. Let’s see that belly grow!
