Guess I fell behind in updating.
Friday: off
Saturday: Clinic with AnaLee, TnT. Ouch. As usual, I had a few take-away form tips before the clinic was over. I had a feeling that my knee bends weren’t staying as deep as they needed to be, and sure enough, AnaLee noticed that I tend to “inch upward” during some of the movements.
We only went just beyond BWO+, and only did four reps of each move, at that. But ooooowwwwwww. AnaLee took us through each move very, very slowly, and took plenty of time to correct form as we went. I’d kind of had a feeling that T moves too fast for me on some of the workout (ie, I can do the move, but not work the move to my max at her speed), and this confirmed it.
We finished off by eating the calories we’d just burned — my own recipe for Tortilla Soup (if you ask real purty-like I might share the recipe), Dos Equis (or red wine for those who preferred), and pie a la mode. Mmm. Pie. Lots of chatter was refreshing to me — I’ve missed having a social life (beyond family, that is) since moving to Santa Fe. I’ll be really relieved when we know whether we plan to stay here longer or if we’re moving…
Sunday: I got my husband back! It’d only been a 2-week trip, but since I was out of town before he left, it felt much, much longer. Blech. Anyway, workout-wise, we went for a hike for an hour or so in the St. John’s College area. While it did involve hills and steep inclines, Mike wore the pack, so I didn’t carry *quite* as much as usual.
Monday: Off.
Tuesday: BWO+ done slowly, bending those knees and keeping them bent (to the point where I felt it before even finishing PBS!). This was followed by Step it to the Max. While that technically is a “full” workout (SITTM is supposed to be a full w/o alone), it feels like a light one to me. I’m starting to think I should either hike/run or do SITTM daily. It just FEELS right.
Who knows? Maybe I can enter the SATI/SITTM category for the 60-day challenge? Hmmmm.
