Today’s a slow workout day.
Don’t get me wrong. I don’t mean I’m not working out. I mean I worked out, and I did it S-L-O-W-L-Y. Wowsers, does that help me. I’ve also incorporated at least one tip I picked up off the boards recently: holding the plie stance instead of moving, so I can ensure I keep form/tuck. So far, this is really, really helping with my “clicky” right hip (joint pops in/out with every.single sideways move, annoying).
Anyhoo, I did BWO+ at my own speed, with music on in the background, and I felt good about my form — better than I have in a while, I think. I will admit, though, I kind of missed Teresa’s encouragements!
So, today I did:
- OIP/HF
- BWO+ at a slow, deliberate pace
- The Hard Core series, also more slowly and with tighter muscle control. OUCH OUCH OUCH.
- Diva Derriere
- Awesome Legs
As usual, I’ll try to get another PBS in later. I might even do HDs after lunch. Oh, and I should mention…Hoe Downs done at a slow speed, holding a tuck? OHMYGOD. I was able to keep the tuck, because of moving more slowly, and my abs, my abs, my abs were calling me! Of course, this was all right *before* the hard core series, so I’m feeling quite ab’d out today.
Funny, I have always, as a rule, hated abdominal workouts. With T-Tapp, they’re becoming one of my favorite parts (next to the twisty moves, anyway). Tomorrow, I may just have to do Instr #2, because I’m in TTN and Lawnmowers withdrawal. Something about the twisting moves gives me a major endorphin rush!
