Maya is sick. She’s sounded raspy off and on for a few days, but last night started having a very wet, sticky-sounding cough. By 2am, she woke up with a 102-103 degree fever and quite miserable. Off to urgent care, and she has a bad ear infection on the left side and a nasty red sore throat.

Anyway, if I hadn’t already planned to take the time off from TWO, I definitely would have today!

Today’s activity:

  • The “hard core” series described by Sherri on the forums. Mannn, that feels good, and my butt will tell me about it tomorrow.
  • Awesome Legs
  • Diva Derrierre
  • Primary Back Stretch (oops…should have started with this)

It’s stunning how different this is when you really move more slowly and emphasize form. I can feel my lower back in an amazing way.

No-S Update

My first day of No-S went really well, including a lovely Thai dinner out (I had a surprise deadline change, so Mike decided I shouldn’t cook and should get out of the house for a few minutes. What a man). I passed on a second serving of the curry we ordered, and it was FABULOUS curry.

Today’s my first S day, and as part of that, we bought some sorbet, ostensibly for my baby girl’s sore throat. (Word to the wise, Jamaican Me Crazy B&J sorbet? Eh.) I scooped out a small custard bowl for myself (and to share w/Maya who agreed that this isn’t that hot), and found that a few bites was enough. It was just too sweet.
