Happy Monday

03Mar07

Did very little — my folks arrived in town Friday afternoon, so I spent much of Saturday with my mom while Dad played the “get to know the son-in-law” game. I did, however, finally watch most of the “Yes, You Can!” DVD with my mom, and she was amazed at how a few simple changes in movements affected how she could feel the move’s impact. I did a little of the YYC movement, but not enough to count it as a workout. Mom took her copy of MORE I got for her home, and she’s both excited (could this work?) and nervous (what if I can’t do it) about getting started.

Other than that, I did PBS, just because it felt so darned good.

Did the TWO later in the day than usual, since it was a) a weekend, so I had a kidlet around and b) a visiting morning — we had breakfast out. I even had coffee *with* cream. Really, what I think I’m finding is that a small bit of dairy doesn’t make me too mucousy…but drinking 24+ ounces of it per day (in a protein shake, then also in coffee) was an issue.

Anyway, I pushed myself a bit harder during TWO, especially during the balance sequence. Um, dude. It’s hard to stay standing up when you’re keeping that tuck and barely lifting your leg!

Afterward, I did OIP/HF/El, simply because I’d forgotten to do them ahead of time. I added one extra move though, borrowed from the Hit the Floor workout. After the butt tucks, I did another set of lift/tuck, knees in/out, down, repeat. Oof. My rear is nice and sore today. I haven’t been feeling anything back there for a while, so that’s kind of nice.

Today…

I know I’m not doing TWO today, but I think I might finally take the time to learn awesome legs and diva derriere. If nothing else, I will absolutely do PBS. In fact, I think I’ll do that right now!

Final tally for Monday:

  • PBS
  • OIP/HF/E
  • Diva Derrierre (oooh…me like)
  • Awesome Legs
