How the &^%$ can February almost be over already? Sheesh, I need to get my billable hours listed out.

Annnnnyway…

Today’s workout:

  • OIP/HF/OIP
  • Total Workout
  • OIP/HF/OIP

I’m amazed at how this one feels different every. single. time. I do it. The concept of “working to your max” is starting to make a ton of sense to me, and even as the workout gets easier (I know the moves better, less bobbling), it also gets more difficult (I tuck more. Hold in the gut more. Life my ribs more.). I felt much more work in my ab muscles than I have previously, and I think taking the day off yesterday was a good move — I had energy to really push myself.

I’m still seeing changes in the mirror every day. I haven’t grabbed a tape measure again, because, eh…if I feel this good (and who am I kidding? look good too!), who cares? Inch loss will come. Water has been a no-brainer. I just needed the challenge to help me keep it in the front of my mind, and with quitting caffeine cold turkey, that left much more room in my drinkables for water. Hooray, H20!

Dropping dairy feels like more of a possibility with each workout. I’m tired of hacking up mucus (ick!) at each and every water break. But, but, but…I *love* dairy. Well, we’ll see. I’ll give it another couple days perhaps, or maybe even tomorrow, I’ll make my protein shake w/water instead of milk.

Overall? I’m loving this workout. I’ve never, never, never liked workout videos. Until now. This particular one seems to be addictive.

Oh! I forgot to mention! My parents come to Santa Fe to visit next weekend, and my mother is excited about finally getting the copy of MORE from me. She’s heading to the bookstore to get a copy of F&F today, and I’ve told her to not worry about ANY of the moves yet — just go through chapter 3 and practice the stance. This is going to be a very, very different kind of workout for her, and I think once she gets started, she’ll see results quickly, especially in her energy levels. She’s a no-workout and/or Curves kind of gal…so not a lot of muscle. Yet. Just you wait!
